Complete this 7-hour Energy Sector Driver Improvement Course to build the advanced defensive driving skills, hazard awareness, and practical experience needed to drive more safely in demanding energy-sector environments. The one-day program combines three hours of classroom instruction with four hours of hands-on, one-on-one coaching and professional driver assessment, covering gravel and lease roads, emergency braking, skid control, collision avoidance, fatigue management, journey planning, and hazard recognition.

Training takes place in Calgary, Alberta. Learners must supply their own vehicle for the in-vehicle component (typically their company vehicle) and since training occurs on a gravel track, an SUV or truck is recommended. Participants receive a certificate of completion demonstrating competency in defensive driving for the energy sector.
